Tours are available from Easter
to the end of November on thursday evenings only.
The

shortened if required. To request
your tour (parties of 20 or more)

Remember, you don't have to have a guided tour to enjoy walking in the orchards,
to see the museum or to taste cider in the shop. Just come along and see.
All
Aboard the Tour!
Your party will be
met on arrival by one of our excellent
Tour Guides, and you will start with
a ride through the orchards (weather
permitting) on a specially converted
tractor-pulled passenger trailer.
You will learn about commercial orcharding and how apples
with names like Kingston Black, Tremlett's Bitter, Dabinett, Yarlington Mill,
Stoke Red and Porter's Perfection, link local history and geography in the art of traditional cider making.
From the Orchards...
From the orchards, the next stop is the cellars, where you can see the monumental
oak vats in which the prize ciders are fermented. The aroma of aged oak and
cider is truly unique to the West Country.
You will be shown the press and processing equipment which converts hundreds
of tonnes of home-grown apples into the prize ciders which are produced at Sheppy's
Cider.
Living
History in Rural Somerset...
The next stop is the museum. This includes
a cider-making video which will show you some of the work involved
throughout the year in orcharding and cider production at the farm. A
splendid collection of farming and cider-making equipment gives
a glimpse into rural life in days gone by.
Tasting is Believing
Your guide will entertain you, in our tea room,
to a selection of our high quality ciders from farmhouse draught
(scrumpy) to premium bottled sparkling and still ciders.
Your hour will end with a ploughman's supper and delicious home-grown apple crumble, followed by tea or coffee.
School Visits
We are delighted to receive visits from school children
of all ages. Guides may or may not be required by school
parties - just ask what we can do.
