We have full disabled access in all public areas, but we have no lift to our upstairs restaurant area. We have plenty of seating downstairs along with a disabled toilet adjacent to the dining room.
Disabled parking bays are available in the main yard as you enter Sheppy’s House of Cider and there is a ramp leading up to the main doors.
We welcome families at the Apple Bay Restaurant and Bar and we have plenty of room for you. We have baby changing facilities adjacent to both the shop and the restaurant. We also have high chairs for small children.
Three Bridges, Bradford-on-Tone, Taunton, Somerset. TA4 1ER
We are located on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, just off Junction 26, M5, from where you can follow the brown signs. We have two entrances, one which closes at 6pm so please look out for the signs.
Parking: We have plenty of parking on the site for cars and campervans, with disabled parking bays adjacent to the shop.
It’s fortunate with our being a cider farm that we have regular bus services which can stop at the bus stop right outside the main entrance. We encourage anyone who is visiting our Apple Bay Bar, or perhaps having a guided tour, to use the public transport. Buses of Somerset operate route number 22 which stops just outside.
Our local train station is Taunton Rail Station and there is a short walk to the bus station where you can pick up route number 22 to Wellington/Tiverton. The buses run about every 20 minutes on weekdays including Saturdays, with limited service on Sundays.
We are on the main A38 half way between Taunton and Wellington. To avoid traffic congestion in Taunton it may be easiest to come off the M5 motorway at Junction 26 and head towards Taunton; you can follow brown signs from here. We are on the right.
Our main visitor site entrance opens onto a car park. We recommend that you stop here briefly and come to the tour meeting point in the shop to announce your arrival, if we haven’t already seen you come in. One of our staff will check quickly with you that we have all the details we need. We like to be sure that we all know what you and your passengers are expecting, and when you need to leave.
Once your passengers have alighted we will direct you to a parking space.
