December Shop Spotlight: Friary Drinks also known as Still Sisters

This December, we’re delighted to shine our Farmshop Spotlight on Friary Drinks, a wonderful local company founded by two talented sisters right here in the West Country. Friary Drinks are known for crafting beautifully blended liqueurs and spirits — each one handmade in small batches, using time-honoured recipes and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

Their Christmas range is a true festive treat — think rich Salted Caramel Vodka, warming Mulled Gin Liqueur, and indulgent Espresso Martini and even a Chocolate Whisky if you have a sweet tooth, perfect for gifting or enjoying by the fire on a chilly winter evening.

At Sheppy’s Cider, we love supporting local producers who share our values of craftsmanship, heritage, and family. Just like Friary Drinks, we believe in celebrating the spirit of Somerset — where passion, tradition, and community come together.

Growing up, family occasions would always involve our Dad’s latest lovingly made beverage creation. He taught us all we know, some of our happiest memories come from the tales he created around his latest blend. We learned a lot from Dad, keep it simple, never compromise on quality and be the best at what you do, but most importantly have fun.

We have great fun exploring and creating our drinks. The range of Gins are created using signature locally sourced botanicals from businesses just like ours. The local watercress from the organic beds, roses grown in Chard, Lavender from Warminster and Somerset Cider Apples from Perry’s Orchard.

We are two sisters based in Frome, Somerset producing small batch Gin from our bespoke copper still called Storm.

Our Gins are perfect to enjoy with a simple tonic over ice. Our signature Gin using organic watercress enjoys peppery and refreshing undertones. We have explored and sampled a lot of Gins but our watercress, we believe is the best!
